Stage 5 — Apply

Stage 5 is the application tracker. Once you’ve generated documents in Stage 3 and exported in Stage 4, mark each one as Submitted (or Withdrawn / Rejected / Interviewing) and add notes as the conversation with the employer progresses.

Q&A answers

Apply forms always have a few free-text questions (“Why do you want to work here?”, “Tell us about a time when…”). The Q&A panel per application shows:

  • A list of predefined questions you’ve answered before (Settings → Q&A Answers — your reusable bank).
  • The application’s specific custom questions (added via the Chrome extension when you click into a posting).
  • A “Generate” button per question that runs the qa-agent. The agent reads your CV + writing style + the application’s job title/company/CV/CL and produces a personalized answer in your voice.

You can edit any answer. The form-filler agent reads from this same source when prefilling the actual form.

Form-filler

The Chrome extension’s “Apply” button scrapes the apply page’s form fields, sends them to form-filler, and the agent maps each field to a value from your data — predefined Q&A, profile fields, or the generated CV/CL text. Unmapped fields are surfaced for manual fill.

This works best when you’ve populated Settings → Q&A Answers with your most-asked answers ahead of time.

Status transitions

Marking an application Submitted starts the timeline. From there: Interviewing → Offered / Rejected / Withdrawn. The dashboard counts each state separately so you can see “I have 4 in flight, 2 closed”.

Re-applying or editing post-submit

Once you’ve submitted, the documents are frozen on that application. To regenerate (e.g., the role posting changed and you need a new CV), use Application Detail → Re-Generate. It creates a new application_versions row so the original submitted version isn’t lost.
